definitely mother for the famicom, but like, i have a hard time explaining why i love that game so much and putting it into words, so i dunno if i'd be able to put that here

a close second though would be chulip for ps2, i can put my feelings for that game into words much easier. i love the ps2 for just having the WEIRDEST lineup of obscure games made by small japanese companies and chulip is such a cool example of that. its also got a visual style that is so unique and charming, and all the characters are so weird and goofy and have their own little plot lines. like, every single character at some point in the story gets at least a little plot thread, and i just love that so much. please go check out that game i think its like 10 bucks on the ps3 store (at least, if the ps3 store is still open. idk, i havent been keeping up with that)

as you may be able to tell from the poll my faves of all time are hollow knight and outer wilds. PLEASE play outer wilds. until every person on the planet has played it it is underrated

This is actually a really tricky question for me, not just bc there are so many games I love, but a lot of games I've poured myself into since I was like, 7, have all been online/multiplayer which feels like cheating for these sorts of questions! If I'm allowing myself to go with one, I'd say Mobile Suit Gundam Online/Gundam Online Wars, I could gush about that game for the rest of my life because I don't think I'll ever see something as cool ever again, sadly! For non online games I'm having a hard time picking off the top of my head! Maybe SSB64 or Pokemon Silver, both of which I can pick up and play pretty happily whenever. Super Metroid is a blast, and while it's definitely top 3 music-wise for me, I'm not sure I can put it in my top 3 to actually play (though I do love to play it as well!) so maybe uhhh UHHHH I actually can't come up with anything at all, lots of games I greatly enjoy but I always struggle picking favorites :X

Addendum I realized literally right after posting, SONIC ADVENTURE 2 BATTLE IS ONE OF THE BEST GAMES EVER MADE AND EASILY A TOP 3 FAVORITE FOR NON-ONLINE GAMES I am a fool and I don't know how it slipped my mind, part of why picking favorites is so hard is that somehow if I try to think about favorites I forget them in the moment lmao

As a kid, I pretty much followed the entire No More Heroes series. That's why it's my number 1 game that I mostly talk about too.

I know probably most of my friends would say "but isn't in FNF?" which I can say that it's not even close.

I really enjoy everything about the series. The incredible story and cast, the exhilarating combat, the badass tunes. I can go on for hours explaining every single little thing about the whole series, including the spinoff (which is canon)! Don't get me started on how bad I wanted to look cool and badass as much as the protagonist is.

I someday hope I can include some of its charm and action into my drawings and comics. I owe this game a lot and I'm so glad it's one I grew up with.

i do not know much about no more heroes except for that kill or be killed from nmh2 goes REALLY hard, i gotta play those games sometime
